When I was in my teens, my friends and I had very basic video games systems such as the Commodore 64 and the ZX Spectrum. One of our favourite games was Bubble Bobble, a fast-action platform game that involved the player, or preferably two players, controlling two colourful dragons named Bub and Bob. The aim was to complete a series of levels by trapping monsters in bubbles to beat them, and finally defeating the big boss at the end thus releasing your girlfriends, Betty and Patty. It sounds daft but it was a huge hit around the world and gave pleasure to millions of players!

Nintendo have released a new game for their Switch system called Bubble Bobble 4 Friends which brings the franchise into the 21st century, but we thought that we would take a look into the past and show you some of our favourite old-skool Bubble Bobble items for sale on Redbubble.
